Short answers about your reviews, your page and your plan.
Getting started
- Set up your Kudo page Your page is a public web address showing your reviews. Setting one up takes four answers, and the web address is the only one you cannot change later.
Collecting reviews
- Approving reviews before they publish New reviews wait in a queue until you approve them. Here is where the queue is, what approving does, and what you are not allowed to do with it.
- Photo and video reviews Customers can attach up to three photos and one video from the review form. Photos are Pro, video is AI Pro, and the files are stored by Kudo.
- Asking past customers for a review by email Kudo can email past customers a review link. A Pro feature: it asks you to confirm they agreed to hear from you, and every message carries an unsubscribe link.
- Giving a discount code for a review You can offer a code to everyone who leaves a review, and a larger one for a review with a photo. What you cannot do is make it depend on the rating.
- The verified buyer badge The badge says a review is tied to a real order Kudo can see. It does not say the review is honest, and an unbadged review is not a suspicious one.
Importing
- Moving reviews from another review app Kudo reads the CSV export of ten review platforms. Export from the old app, upload the file, and the columns are mapped for you.
- Importing your Google reviews Bring the reviews your customers already wrote on Google onto your Kudo page, and publish the ones you want to show.
Your Kudo page
- Questions from visitors, and answering them Visitors can ask a question on your page. Answering it is what publishes it — there is no separate approve step, and an unanswered question is never shown.
- Changing how your page looks Layout, card style, cover image, colours and the six things you can hide. What is on every plan, what is Pro, and what nothing can change.
- Running more than one location One account can hold a page per branch, each with its own address, reviews and settings. A store switcher appears in the sidebar once you have two.
- Replying to a review Your reply appears under the review on your page and in your website widget. AI Pro can have a draft written for you to edit.
- Taking order requests from your page Switch on the order request form, put it in your Instagram bio, and get each request by email. Free takes 20 a month; Pro and AI Pro have no limit.
Widgets
- Adding the review widget to your website Build the embed code in Kudo, paste it into your own site, and your published reviews appear there — on every plan.
- Star ratings on Shopify product and collection pages The Kudo app embed puts stars on product pages and on collection, search and homepage product cards with no code. A one-line snippet is the fallback.
- Showing reviews in a visitor's own language Kudo can translate reviews for international visitors. The translation sits beside the original, always labelled, and never replaces what the customer wrote.
Sharing
- Your review link and QR code One link asks a customer for a review, one QR code opens it. Find the link in the Share modal on Kudos, the code on Forms — neither changes when settings do.
Billing & plans
- What's included in the Free plan The Free plan collects as many reviews as you like and publishes 5 of them on your page and your website. Here is exactly where it stops.
- What Pro and AI Pro add Pro publishes every review, drops the badge, adds review request emails, photos and all 13 widget layouts. AI Pro adds video, reply drafts, Q&A and insights.
AI features
- What the AI features actually do Five places Kudo uses a model, what each one is allowed to write, and the one thing none of them can do: change a word a customer wrote.
