What Pro and AI Pro add
Kudo has three plans, and the Free one is a real plan rather than a trial: your page with unlimited links and product cards, the collection form, a QR code, CSV import and a one-time Google import, the widget on four of its thirteen layouts plus the star rating badge, and 5 reviews published on your page.
Pro publishes every review, adds the things a business does once it is collecting steadily, and removes the badge. AI Pro adds video reviews, reply drafts, page Q&A and the written analysis.
What Pro adds
Every review published. Free shows 5 on your page and your widgets; Pro shows all of them.
No "Powered by Kudo" badge, on your page and on your widgets.
Page analytics — which of your page's buttons and links people tap. Free is told how many times the page was viewed; Pro says which button got the tap.
Six page themes.
The other eight widget layouts. The nine widget colour themes are on every plan. Free draws grid, masonry, carousel, compact and the star rating badge; Pro draws all thirteen, including the floating corner badge and the photo gallery.
The minimal card style.
A cover image behind your page header, which is the one visual change that makes a Kudo page look like a specific business.
Review request emails, sent by hand. You provide the list of past customers and Kudo sends each one a review link, with an unsubscribe link that works. Kudo does not supply addresses and cannot email anyone you have not given it, and it skips anyone who has unsubscribed and anyone asked in the last 90 days.
Automated review requests. On a connected Shopify or Wix store, a review request goes out on its own after an order, instead of you pasting a list by hand.
The conversational review form, which asks a follow-up question written from the answer the customer just gave rather than a fixed second question.
Photo reviews — customers can attach a photograph to their review.
The summary above your reviews — three lines saying what customers bring up most, each carrying the reviews it came from, generated unpublished so you approve the wording before it goes live.
Reviews from every source, not just Google. Trustpilot, Tripadvisor and the other sources in Dashboard → Integrations, kept in sync on a schedule, Google included, and any source checked as often as every hour. Free imports Google once.
What AI Pro adds on top
Video reviews — customers can attach a clip to their review, not only a photograph.
Reply drafts. A first draft of a reply to one review, written into the box you were going to type into. It does not send, and it will not promise a refund, a discount, an amount or a deadline.
Questions and answers on your page, so a shopper can ask about a product and see it answered.
Review insights — the written analysis on the Insights screen, grouping your reviews into what customers love, what they complain about and what to fix. The charts on that screen are on every plan; the written half is the AI Pro part.
Everything else on AI Pro is everything on Pro.
What a plan never changes
Your reviews. A plan change never deletes anything. Dropping to Free means your page shows the first 5 of your published reviews — the rest stay in your account, in the order you had them, and come back the moment you upgrade again.
Your page and your link. The address stays the same on every plan, so nothing you printed stops working.
Who decides what publishes. Approval is yours on every plan, or it is the rating threshold you set. No plan changes that, and no plan lets Kudo publish a review you do not want shown.
Moving back to Free
A page that drops to Free keeps every review it has. What changes is what Kudo will show: the page and the widget show 5 reviews, the widget falls back to the four free layouts and the star rating badge, the badge comes back on, the summary above your reviews stops being served, and the conversational form falls back to the classic one — the link does not break and the printed QR code does not stop working.
That last one is worth knowing because it is the behaviour people expect least: a review link printed on a card keeps working after a downgrade, it just opens the simpler form.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Pro and AI Pro?
AI Pro is Pro plus video reviews, reply drafts, page Q&A and the written review insights. Everything else is the same.
Which plan do I need to remove the badge?
Pro. AI Pro removes it too, since it includes everything Pro does, but Pro is the plan that turns it off — the badge is only on Free.
Which plan do I need for review request emails?
Pro. By hand, you supply the list of your own past customers and confirm they agreed to hear from you; on a connected Shopify or Wix store, Pro also sends them automatically after an order.
Do I lose reviews if I move back to Free?
No. Every review stays in your account. What changes is how many of them your page shows — Free publishes 5 — along with which layouts the widget draws and whether the badge is shown.
Do I need AI Pro for the conversational review form?
No, that is on Pro. AI Pro adds video reviews, reply drafts, page Q&A and the written insights.
