Set up your Kudo page
Your Kudo page is one public web address that shows your reviews, your photos and one clear next step for the visitor — call you, get directions, or book. It is the thing you put in an Instagram bio, print on a QR code, or send in a message.
Setup asks four things: your business name, the web address you want, your category, and a logo if you have one. Only the first two are required, and only one of them is permanent.
The four answers
Business name. Exactly as customers know it. This is the heading on your page and the name search engines show.
Web address. Your page lives at getkudo.co/your-business. Kudo checks availability as you type, so a name already taken is refused while you are still choosing rather than after you have saved. Pick something short enough to say out loud on the phone.
Category. Restaurant, salon, clinic and so on. It sets the wording on your page and lists you correctly in the public directory of Kudo pages.
Logo. Optional. A page without one shows your business name in Kudo's type instead, which looks deliberate rather than unfinished. You can add one later from the editor at any time.
The web address is the one thing to think about
Everything else on your page can be changed whenever you like — name, category, logo, colours, which reviews show, what the button says. The web address cannot be changed after setup.
That is deliberate rather than a limitation we have not got to. The address is what goes on printed QR codes, on business cards and in other people's links, and a page that changes address quietly breaks every one of them. If you have chosen wrong and nothing has been printed yet, write to support@getkudo.co and we will sort it out.
What to do next
An empty page is not much use, so the fastest first step is importing the reviews you already have.
- Import from Google. Most businesses arrive with reviews already on their Google Business Profile. Importing them fills the page in a few minutes and does not ask any customer to write anything twice.
- Get your review link. Your page comes with a form for collecting new reviews, plus a QR code for a counter or a receipt.
- Share the page. The address goes in your Instagram bio, your email signature, or on a card by the till.
The setup checklist on your dashboard tracks these and disappears once they are all done.
What setup does not do
Kudo does not write reviews, invent them, or fill a new page with samples. A page with no reviews shows as a page with no reviews.
It does not connect to your Google account by itself either — importing from Google is a separate step you start, and you can skip it entirely if you would rather collect from scratch.
Setting up a page does not publish anything to Google, Facebook or Instagram. Nothing leaves Kudo until you share the link yourself.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change my web address later?
No. The name, category, logo and everything else can change at any time, but the address is fixed once the page exists, because printed codes and other people's links depend on it. Write to support@getkudo.co if you have made a mistake and have not shared it yet.
Is my page public straight away?
Yes. It is live at its address as soon as setup finishes. Nobody will find it by accident — there is no search on Kudo pointing at you until your page has reviews on it — but anyone with the link can open it.
Do I have to pay to have a page?
No. The page, its web address, the collection form and a QR code are all on the Free plan, with no card and no expiry. Free publishes 5 reviews on your page; collecting more never stops, and Pro publishes the rest.
The address I want is taken. What now?
Add your city or district — many businesses share a name. A few short words are still short enough to say on the phone, which is the real test.
Can I have more than one page?
Yes, for businesses with more than one location. Each page has its own address, its own reviews and its own settings, and you switch between them from the dashboard.
Still stuck? Write to support@getkudo.co with your business name and we will look at the page with you.
