Your review link and QR code
You have two links, and they do different jobs.
Your page link — getkudo.co/your-business — shows your reviews to a visitor. Your review link opens a short form asking a customer to leave one. Open Share from your Kudos page for both links; the QR code for the review link is on Forms, beside the link it opens, where you can download and print it.
Getting the link and the code
Open Kudos in your dashboard and click Share to open both links: the review link is at the top with a copy button beside it, the page link below it.
For the printable code, open Forms and find the Share Collection Link card. The same review link is there with a copy button, and the QR code sits beside it with a Download button underneath.
The downloaded code is a plain image file. Print it at any size — a sticker for the counter, a line on a receipt, a card in a delivery box, a sign by the till. It does not expire and it does not need reprinting when something about your page changes.
What the customer sees
They open the link, choose a star rating, write a few lines, and send. Their name is asked for; an email address is optional and is never shown on your page.
On Pro they can attach photos from the same form, and on AI Pro a video as well. A review with a customer's own photograph of your food or your work is the single most persuasive kind, and it is the reason the form asks rather than making people find an upload button. On Free the form does not ask for pictures.
If they rate you three stars or fewer, Kudo offers them a way to contact you directly — but only after the review has been saved, never before. Offering to redirect an unhappy customer away from writing their review is called review gating, it is against the rules in most markets, and Kudo does not do it on any plan.
The link never changes
Your review link and QR code stay the same whatever you change in your settings, including switching between the two form styles. That is the whole reason the code you printed last year still works.
There are two forms. The classic form is a short set of questions and is on every plan. The conversational form asks follow-up questions written from what the customer just said, and is on Pro and AI Pro. Choosing between them is one setting on the Collection screen, and the link does not change when you switch — a customer opening an old link simply gets whichever form is currently set.
Asking by email
You do not have to hand the link over in person. Kudo can send review request emails to past customers, with the link built in and an unsubscribe link that works. That is a Pro feature, and it requires you to confirm those customers agreed to hear from you — Kudo sends on behalf of every business from one address, so one bought list would damage delivery for everybody.
What the link does not do
The review link does not post to Google. A review left through it lives on your Kudo page and in your website widget. Google does not permit any tool to write reviews into a Google Business Profile on a customer's behalf, so no product can honestly promise it.
It does not let you edit what somebody wrote, and it does not let you approve a review conditionally on the rating. You can hide a review after the fact, but you cannot change its words.
Frequently asked questions
Where is my review link?
Open Share from your Kudos page — it has a copy button. The QR code for it is on Forms, in the Share Collection Link card.
Is my review link the same as my page link?
No. The page link shows your reviews to a visitor; the review link opens the form for leaving one. Both are in the Share modal on your Kudos page, and both are free.
Will my printed QR code stop working if I change something?
No. Changing your business name, your colours, your layout or your form style leaves the link and the code alone. The only thing that would break a printed code is changing your web address, which Kudo does not allow for exactly this reason.
Can customers leave a review without an account?
Yes. Nobody needs a Kudo account to leave a review — they open the link, write, and send.
Do reviews from the form appear straight away?
Not by default. They arrive in your approval queue and appear once you approve them. You can turn on automatic publishing for reviews at or above a rating you choose; with it on, a review below that rating waits 3 days for you and is then published too, unless you publish or discard it first.
Can I collect photos and video?
Yes, from the same form: photos on Pro and AI Pro, video on AI Pro. The Free form collects the rating and the written review.
Still stuck? Write to support@getkudo.co and we will send your link back to you.
