A single lesson rarely changes anything and parents know it, so the real question is what a term costs. A card per subject and level with the pack price, "10 sessions" or "a month of weekly lessons", lets a parent weigh the commitment before they message, and a separate card for the trial lesson shows them the first step is small. The Book button on each card opens whatever you already use to schedule and take payment; Kudo never takes payment itself.
Parents talk on WhatsApp, so meet them there
A lot of tutoring starts in a parents' group chat: somebody asks for a math tutor and somebody else pastes a phone number. Put your page link where the number would go. The WhatsApp button on it opens a chat with you with the first message already written, so a parent who read your reviews at 10pm can ask about Thursday slots without composing anything, and you answer from the phone you already use.
Ask when something changes
A parent is most sure you were worth it the day a report card, a test score or a reading level comes back better than the last one. Send your review link that week and ask what changed. Ask every family the same way, including the ones where progress was slower than hoped: a parent who writes "the grade moved a little, and the dread before every test went away" is often more useful to the next parent than a perfect score. Kudo shows a reviewer's surname as an initial, and it is worth asking parents to leave their child's name out of what they write.
Frequently Asked Questions
I tutor from home and have no Google Business Profile. Can I still show reviews?
Yes. Collect reviews from parents through your own Kudo review link and QR code, and they appear on your page once you publish them. If you do have a Google Business Profile, search for it in Kudo and those reviews are imported and kept in sync too.
Can parents book and pay for lessons on Kudo?
No. Kudo never takes payment. The trial lesson and pack cards link to whatever you already use, a booking app, a payment link or WhatsApp, and the money goes straight to you.
Is it free?
Yes to start: the page, unlimited links, subject and pack cards, the WhatsApp button, the review link and QR code, Google review import and 5 published reviews cost nothing.
