A page you design, or a page that is already done

Carrd hands you a blank page and the tools to make it anything. Kudo hands a local business the page it needs on the first day: what you do, what it costs, how to book or ask, and your Google reviews underneath. It is live the moment you save a name.

What Carrd is good at

Building a real one-page website, laid out exactly the way you want it. Carrd starts you from dozens of templates or a blank page, and you place the text, images, sections and buttons yourself. Its Pro plans add contact, signup and payment forms through Stripe or PayPal, your own embedded code and widgets, and site analytics. For a launch page, a portfolio, an event or a personal site designed to the pixel, it is one of the best tools there is.

Where it leaves you stuck

It is a canvas, and it knows nothing about your business. Your Google reviews stay on Google unless you find another service that makes a widget and paste its code in, and there is nothing in it for asking a customer to leave one. A local business ends up assembling from other services what Kudo already has on the page.

Where Carrd is still ahead

Design freedom, first of all. On Carrd you decide where every block goes, and a Kudo page has a fixed order: your name, your links, your cards, your reviews. Carrd can also take a payment on the page through a Stripe or PayPal form on its Pro plans, and Kudo never takes payment at all. And Carrd is for anything: a portfolio, a wedding, a product launch, a résumé. If what you want is a website you designed yourself, Carrd is the better choice.

What a customer checks before they book

Someone who taps a nail tech's or a plumber's bio is asking four things: what do you do, what does it cost, can I trust you, and how do I get in touch. A Kudo page answers all four without you designing anything. Your services sit as cards with a price and a button to your own booking link, the WhatsApp button opens with the message already typed, and the reviews your customers left on Google are right underneath.

You can keep both

Nothing stops you keeping a Carrd site as your website and putting a Kudo page in your Instagram bio, or adding one as a link on the other. The Kudo page also gives you a review link and a QR code for the counter, so the reviews it shows keep growing without you touching the website.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I design my Kudo page the way I would on Carrd?

Not block by block. You choose what goes on the page, which links it carries and in what order, and on Pro you pick one of the page themes. The layout itself stays the same, which is why a page with a name and one link already looks finished.

Is it free?

Yes, and there is no trial clock. The page, unlimited links, service and product cards, a QR code, the review link, Google review import that keeps syncing by itself and 5 published reviews are all free, with a "Powered by Kudo" badge. Pro adds page themes, click analytics and photo reviews, and removes the badge.

Can customers pay on my Kudo page?

No. A Buy or Book button opens your own checkout or booking link, and the order request form collects a request, not a payment. If you need to take the money on the page itself, that is a job for Carrd's payment forms or your own shop.
